After a fairly long break since the last update, Release 0.9.6 has been made, significant development in this release is the optional use of GDI+ (Win32) and Cairographics (Linux) rendering backends to render SVG content. Some configuration is needed to build with this option, see installation notes

Release 0.9.5 has been made, with further internal development, and new features (handling of XML comments, XUL tooltips, and mutexes for thread syncronisation). Also included in the examples is the Keystone Framework tutorial, introducing Keystone and it's ability to operate on XML and SVG data driven graphics.

Release 0.9.2 is here, with development work made so that is may load the W3C SVG conformance test suite. The SVGView demo application may be used for this purpose. The test suite is avaliable at http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/Test/

The Mantis bugtracking software is now live on the site. It can be used to report bugs previously being repoted in the forums. Old bugs from the first two releases have been copied over into the bugtracker database. The database can be viewed and bugs submitted here


2004-05-30

Release 0.9.1 is out, available on the download page. This release contains much internal development, and a major performance improvement in the language preprocessor. Version changes notes are here

I gave a short presentation of the framework at the April Wellington Linux Users Group meeting, notice of any further public presentations will be posted here on this news page

The alpha release of the framework is here. This release includes the framework, example applications and the Framework API documentation (DOxygen generated). Please download from the download page and try out, prebuilt binaries of the example programs are there also (screenshots on the applications page). I have set up a discussion forum, feel free to make use of this.
